After death, one must get the property documents transferred into the name of the legal heir in order to change the name on the property tax. An official document proving ownership of the property, such as a succession certificate, probate certificate, death certificate, or other legal document, must be obtained by the lawful heirs. A change in the name of the property tax records can be requested by the new owner by submitting the necessary paperwork with a letter requesting the change once the ownership transfer has been finalised at the neighbourhood municipal office.
