About K K Nagar, Chennai

K. K. Nagar, short for Kalaignar Karunanidhi Nagar, is a neighbourhood in Chennai. It is named after the ex-chief minister of Tamil Nadu, who was also a prolific writer. This planned neighbourhood was founded in the 1970s. It has an area of approximately five square kilometres and is considered a luxury area.

This neighbourhood also has some good schools, hospitals and a well-developed transportation system. Big supermarkets like Spar and Big Bazaar, Vadapalani are nearby to cater to all the residents’ shopping needs. K. K. Nagar has several apartments ranging from economy to luxury, and the property prices have appreciated considerably over the years.
