What’s Great About the Locality

The locality has a high number of ready-to-move residential projects and several new projects are under development. What’s Not Great About the Locality

The major problem here consists of broken roads and potholes that are present at almost every other inch of the Kammanahalli main road. This has been posing a major threat to the safety of commuters. Another drawback is the illegal encroachment of the footpath by the vendors and shopkeepers. This has been causing problems for pedestrians as it does not leave much space for them to walk on. The locals also need to be made aware of proper garbage disposal practices as improper disposal has led to several piles of waste being accumulated in many areas generating foul smell and toxic gases. Another issue that such developments have brought is the huge traffic congestion and its poor management which leads to long traffic snarls around the city. And just like the majority of Bangalore, this locality is dependent on tankers too due to the depleting level of groundwater and contamination of available water due to the huge amount of ongoing construction  for extended periods.

The locality is supported by the purple line of Namma Metro through Baiyappanahalli & Swami Vivekananda Road stations which are inside a radius of 6 km. The roads provide great connectivity too. The Outer Ring Road is just 1.8 km from here and helps connect the locality with Hebbel. Other major commercial hubs in close proximity to this locality are Banaswadi and CBD. The locality is just 30 kms from the Kempegowda International Airport and shuttle bus services are an easy mode of commuting from here to the airport. Hennur Police station is just 2kms from the locality and several surveillance cameras running 24/7 help keep the locality safe. The overall livability of the locality can be said to be quite good.

The social infrastructure of Kammanahalli is amongst the top-tier in the entire city. The locality is home to colleges like CMR Group of Institutes and Indo Asian Academy which attracts a huge crowd of students.
