FEDERAL STYLE

The federal style of architecture or design comes with several components of the Georgian architectural style. This includes side gabled roofs, classical detailing, and symmetry. There is a difference in sophistication and orientation likewise. The federal style details are intrinsically delicate and neatly outlined as compared to Georgian peers, while coming with garlands, swags, urns, and so on. Federal architectural styles can be swiftly recognized through their geometrical components and overall symmetry. Most federal style homes have rectangular or square shapes along with two or three stories in terms of their height. The exteriors of most of these homes have an understated nature. There are a few ornate additions which integrate both iron and brass.

Use of Federal Style in Real Estate

The federal style of architecture and design is often seen across several homes and properties. Some of the biggest examples of this style of design and architecture include the Massachusetts State House which came up in 1798 and also the University of Virginia. There is also the Davenport House which was built in 1820 at the famous Savannah site, while showcasing the federal style in all its glory.
