I resided here briefly and greatly enjoyed the practical mix of local life, beaches, and shopping with kind merchants and good local markets. I adored shopping in Inorbit and Infiniti malls as well as weekend excursions at Marve and Aksa. Malad station on the Western line, New Link Road, and the Western Express Highway nearby made daily life simple. Work trips were made easy by offices and coworking facilities around Goregaon. Numerous nearby hospitals and clinics guaranteed dependable healthcare. The area felt family-oriented and friendly. Although streets were active, most of them were safe. The simple access to beaches sunsets and many of cafés was my best. Parking and traffic management during peak times needed enhancement.
Getting around Mumbai is simple thanks to the local train station, a number of important roadways including the Western Express Highway, and excellent metro connections. Being near premier shopping malls like Inorbit Mall, many of restaurants and cafes, and hospitals and schools within easy reach gives me comfort. Spending evenings close to Marve,Aksa beaches and getting a bite on Link Road offers such diversity under one roof. I walk around safely even in the later hours as the neighbourhood is varied and welcoming. Should I have to choose one area for improvement, it would be cutting monsoon or peak hour traffic congestion and water-logging.
For its great urban ease and strong infrastructure, Malad West is a top destination in the Western Suburbs highly suggested. A great standard of living is ensured as this is a major business hub close to Mindspace IT Park with well-known retail areas like Inorbit and Infinity Mall. The Western Line provides great connectivity, and the upcoming Metro Line 2A will improve access to the airport and other areas of Mumbai. Strong rental returns and capital appreciation guaranteed by this combination of economic activity and first-rate social amenities including D.G. Khetan International School and several hospitals. The availability of readily available public transportation such cabs and cars, though, might be difficult during peak hours because of the great volumes. This area offers a wonderful combination of luxury and practical use.
Positive: For renters, the amazing simplicity is the finest aspect. For my office journey to Mindspace, Malad station is right there and gaining onto the S.V. Road or Link Road is quite fast. Large shopping centers such Inorbit as well as amazing local markets and infinite cool eateries nearby. It is providing a great combination of local flair and contemporary conveniences. Perfect for singles and families alike, the active lifestyle and the social infrastructure, especially the good nearby schools make it ideal.
NegativeNegative: The traffic on the Link Road can be quite irritating and hectic, especially during the evening rush. The local BMC's drainage system should be improved. Though small but bothersome, waterlogging presents a problem during the intense monsoon season.
Positive: As former resident Malad West provided a wonderful suburban living in Mumbai. The Western Line and the newly introduced Line 2A Metro facilitated daily commutation, directly connecting to the nearby Mindspace IT Park. The good shopping malls, such as Infiniti and Inorbit, and having gorgeous Aksa and Marve beaches nearby for calm weekends.
NegativeNegative: The high density of population at times proved to be hard to handle. The space around the railway station and market was very congested, and it became challenging to book public transport such as autos or taxis quickly during peak hours. Also, during the monsoon, waterlogging was a common sight around the New Link Road, making the commute dirty and unhygienic.
Of course, how can I forget Malad West? It’s perhaps one of the best-connected locations in the city. For starters, you get the metro and railway connectivity, along with major roads, proximity to Mindspace and other leading IT parks, and of course, great social amenities. There are leading hospitals like Zenith and schools like Billabong High nearby, along with the Infiniti Mall and Inorbit Mall in the vicinity. There’s easy beach access (Marve and Aksa), along with several eateries and other vibrant local markets nearby. Yes, living costs have gone up, footpaths need to be cleared of vendors, and of course, waterlogging is still a concern. But, despite all these niggling issues, the area still remains a prime location in Mumbai.
Whenever I think of Malad West, I think of all the beautiful things that make our neighbourhood so special. So, there’s the Mindspace Garden nearby, along with the famous Orlem Church, and even the gorgeous Aksa Beach. The Marve Beach is also pretty accessible from the neighbourhood. There is a railway station nearby, along with the Line 2A of the metro station, in tandem with major roads like the Western Express Highway, Link Road, and the SV Road. I work in the Infinity IT Park nearby, which is easily accessible from my home as well.
NegativeOne issue I can mention in this case is the poor condition of the footpaths and roads in some stretches throughout the locality.
Positives: The connectivity is great due to the Western Railway and Metro Line 2A at Lower Malad and Malad West stations, and my office commute is reliable. The neighborhood is very safe, and my favorite aspect is the good emergency services. Hospitals such as Raksha and Surana are nearby. I also appreciate the recreational areas along Marve Road.
NegativeNegatives: The major problem is the ongoing traffic mess, particularly around the S.V. Road and Link Road junctions. It is awful during rush hour. The ongoing continuous flyover work, especially around Mith Chowky, has critically reduced the carriageway, resulting in gigantic jams and incredible noise and dust pollution that need to be tackled immediately.
Malad West is a peaceful yet well-connected area. I will give it full marks, since I live quite seamlessly here. The railway station and metro line are both accessible, while the major roads include New Link Road and SV Road. I also feel that the airport connectivity is very nice, since I can reach it within 12-15 km. Lifestyle-wise, all the amenities are easily accessible, including the popular Infiniti Mall, top restaurants, supermarkets, and more. I also love going to the Aksa Beach or Marve Beach on the weekends or weekday evenings to refresh my mind. This is one of the privileges of staying in the locality. The waterlogging issue during the monsoons needs fixing, since it is the only thing that the area suffers from.

Positives: With Malad Station and New Link Road, which makes it extremely convenient for my office commute to Mindspace IT Hub. I derive significant benefits from the proximity to shopping destinations like Inorbit Mall and good hospitals. My favorite is the serene environment close to the sea because Marv and Aksa beaches vicinity.
NegativeNegatives: The overcrowding translates to getting an auto or public transport to be tough at times, which really irritates me. I worry about the locality having big slum pockets adjacent to developed pockets, and that portion from Malad West towards Andheri often tends to get waterlogged during monsoons. We should really enhance public transport frequency and improve drainage issues here more properly.
Malad West captivated me with its strategic location. I found the railway station linked to the western line (which was ideal for me), while the Metro Line 2A was easy to access from my residential complex. Also, the SV Road, New Link Road, and other major roads are nearby, while I drove to the airport and found it was about 12-15 km away. There are several shopping malls in the surrounding zone, including the popular Infiniti and Inorbit malls. Zenith, Lifeline, and many other hospitals are easy to reach, along with many schools and colleges. And who can forget the appeal of watching sunsets at the lovely Aksa and Marve Beaches nearby? The Liberty Garden is also ideal for taking a stroll. The only problem I discovered here was the waterlogging in the monsoon and the constant traffic congestion.
Positives: I found that Malad West is a very lively and top-class area that is well-located in the vicinity of big commercial complexes such as Mindspace IT Park, offering great career opportunities. I must say I am safe here, and the connectivity through the Western Line and soon-to-be-completed Metro Line 2A is superb. I believe the location is best suited for white-collar workers because there is plenty of new-age apartments and malls in the vicinity.
NegativeNegatives: I noticed that traffic on the New Link Road is very congested. I feel that the entire area is hit with extreme overcrowding, making it very difficult to locate public transport. I do need to add that some of the arterial roads along the way towards the New Link Road often get waterlogged during intense monsoon rain.
Malad West is all about living that classic Mumbai lifestyle. You get access to both the Infiniti and Inorbit Malls, along with other vibrant and bustling local markets. Also, the Line 2A of the Mumbai Metro is a big plus point for our neighbourhood, along with the railway station and the Western Express Highway. You will also find the Link Road and SV Road nearby, helping you access several localities in the city. Of course, it also helps that the international airport is not too far away, while the same is true for Mindspace, which is where I work. So, all in all, it’s that ideal location as far as I’m concerned.
NegativeTraffic congestion and noise pollution are two of the biggest problems that I encounter while living in Malad West.
My most liked locality for selling in Mumbai is Malad West since it actually provides a high-end lifestyle at a comparatively affordable price point when compared to South Mumbai. It helps to make it a very good value proposition for professionals and families. The connectivity is great, being connected by the Western Line and the New Link Road, and we have a large IT hub, Mindspace, in our vicinity itself, providing great job opportunities and business scope. In addition, the locality is surprisingly leafy and has great social infrastructure with malls such as Inorbit and well-known schools in the vicinity. Nevertheless, because of its popularity, the roads are severely congested, and we desperately require more efficient local transport to cater to the number.
Malad West is one place that will always be special. I live here and have literally grown up in the locality, witnessing its metamorphosis into a well-developed and gentrified locality. The Marve Beach is nearby, while everything from the railway and metro networks to the highway is easily accessible as well. The local markets are vibrant and ever-present to meet all our needs, while I work in the nearby Samsung office. I can thus almost walk to work if I want, making my daily life a lot hassle-free. Inorbit and Infiniti Mall are both nearby, along with many good schools and hospitals too.
NegativeSome pockets still have water and power supply issues, while civic infrastructure needs to improve in some pockets, like Mamledar Wadi and Liberty Garden.
If you are looking for a well-connected locality in Mumbai, Malad West is the answer. It gets the access to the Metro Line 2A, which connects to Andheri and Dahisar. There is a dedicated railway station that you can avail as well. The International Airport is not that far away too (about 12-13 km), while the SV Road, Link Road, and WEH are all there. This means that getting to most places in Mumbai is not that much of an effort, at least for me. Infinity IT Park and Mindspace are both situated nearby, and this explains why so many professionals move here with their families.
NegativeTraffic congestion and road noise are two big issues of living in Malad West. That’s the only thing I can think of.
Living in Malad West is a good idea, if you are into a quieter and more engaging lifestyle. For example, you will get that classic Mumbai feeling, since it’s got those older residential blocks, and that vibrant stretch of local markets. The coastline is accessible via the Marve Beach, which is accessible within 12-15 minutes by car. I love going here and watching the sunset or sunrise, whenever I can. Also, if you’re up for it, then the Juhu Beach is about half an hour away by car. The social amenities here are pretty decent, and the flat prices are still doable for many people, unlike some other Mumbai localities. The only thing I can say is that traffic congestion is something that the local authorities need to work on. The rest is absolutely fine.
My family and I had moved to Malad West more than a decade back, and it's the ultimate Western Suburbs living. Malad Railway Station, the New Link Road, and the planned Metro Line 2A we are connected to all things. We boast massive business parks like Mindspace right in our vicinity. Inorbit and Infinity Malls being there make things super convenient. Marve and Aksa beaches adds greenery and tranquillity. But for a locality as central and urbanized as this, the only significant change required is greater availability of public transport, as it is quite often a real challenge to get an auto or taxi during peak office hours in and around the station area due to congestion.
I have enjoyed living in Malad West, particularly for its excellent quality of life. I have always felt that Malad West was a pleasant and family-friendly neighbourhood. It’s unfortunate that I had to move out due to my workplace shift to another city. There is a railway station situated on the Western line, while the Link Road, SV Road, and the WEH are also accessible. The JVLR can be used to reach Powai too, while the Metro Line 2A is another connectivity option here. You will find numerous schools and hospitals here, including St. Joseph, Orchids, Zenith, and more. The Infinity and Inorbit Malls are readily accessible, along with the Aksa Beach and Mindspace Garden.
NegativeThe only issue I can mention is the traffic congestion during the peak hours, along with the ongoing construction, which, my former neighbours tell me, is severely impacting their health.
Positives: Malad West location is a tenant's paradise on the Western Line. SV Road, and the Western Express Highway in the vicinity. The new Metro Line 2A is coming. We have awesome places like Inorbit Mall and Aksa Beach around us. It's a bustling commercial area, so this is one of the most desirable and safe residential areas in Mumbai.
NegativeNegatives: But there are certain areas that absolutely require improvement. Hailing a cab or an auto at peak office hours is a task because of severe overcrowding and traffic congestion. The drainage system must be improved because waterlogging near the New Link Road in the monsoon. Some pockets of interior roads would benefit from proper street lighting.
Positives: As a happy owner in Malad West, I thoroughly recommend it for its unmatchable lifestyle. From the Mindspace IT park for my work to great places of leisure such as Inorbit Mall and the tranquil Aksa Beach, all are nearby. The upcoming Metro Line 2A is also giving our already excellent connectivity, making for a genuinely high end urban lifestyle.
NegativeNegatives: We often experience irregular water supply and quality in some pockets, garbage disposal can be disappointing. Also, getting a quick auto or cab by the main station during peak hours is always a challenge because of the massive crowds. Improved organization of these vital services would definitely take Malad West to the next level.
Positives: The Malad location is well connected with Malad Station and the new Metro Line 2A. Inorbit and Infinity Malls, as well as local markets, were convenient places to shop. Rejoice International and Chinchavali English Mumbai Public School, as well as Thunga and Lifeline hospitals, were nearby. Parks and greenery for morning walks were also available in the area.
NegativeNegatives: Still, peak hour traffic jam was frequent, monsoon waterlogging was present, parking was not available, roads required maintenance, public transport was lacking, and street lighting was inadequate in certain areas. Nonetheless, Malad West was vibrant, well linked, and family friendly, although infrastructure and public facilities could improve dramatically.
Life in Malad West is vibrant and convenient. I like being near to Inorbit and Infinity Malls, and weekend getaways to beaches such as Marve and Aksa. Accessibility is good with Malad Station, Western Express Highway, SV Road, and soon Metro Line 2A. Rejoice International and Infant Jesus schools, and hospitals such as Thunga and Zenith, so life becomes easy on a daily basis. Green parks and gardens offer a peaceful atmosphere in the midst of the busy city. Local shopping areas, eateries, and the IT park at Mindspace are vibrant additions. Traffic congestion and periodic waterlogging in rains need to be improved. Otherwise, Malad West is safe, energetic, and perfect for families.
Positives: Malad West is suburb transformed into one of the liveliest parts of Mumbai. It's a total blend of commercial and residential life ranging from high end apartments close to Link Road to budget housing around Marve and Chincholi. The place is well connected by rail, metro, and SV Road, along with major malls like Inorbit and Infiniti, good schools, hospitals, and serene seaside locations like Aksa Beach and Marve Beach.
NegativeNegatives: Nevertheless, some inner pockets experience waterlogging during monsoon, waste management problems, and paucity of parking in traditional societies. the location becomes terribly congested and traffic, roads are clogged especially during peak hours, which is frustrating.
Positives: I enjoy residing here as a female tenant. I take a peaceful morning walk along the Marve and Aksa beaches. My flat is close to Malad Station, and it's convenient to go to Andheri, Goregaon or South Mumbai. The area is well-served with good schools, well-known hospitals such as Lifeline and Zenith, and malls such as Inorbit and Infinity for weekend excursions. There are lots of gyms, restaurants, and shops for a comfortable daily life. Also, surrounding Mindspace IT Hub gives a professional touch. The surrounding greenery of Malad West and proximity to temples and historical sites are lovely.
NegativeNegatives: I am safe and comfortable here, but a few things need improvement: cleanliness on the streets, appropriate waste disposal in certain places, and faster Metro Line 2A completion to enable hassle-free commuting. Malad West is overall lively, contemporary, and serene.
Positives: I have shifted to Malad West recently, and I am comfortable. I appreciate the local blend of vintage markets and malls. Infiniti and Inorbit are within walking distance from shopping and multiplexes. I go to Marve and Aksa beaches to spend quiet nights. Schools and hospitals are within reach. Green patches and street food culture in the area are a bonus. I like my welcoming neighbours and the locality. Local buses and trains make everyday life convenient. New residential projects add more shops and restaurants.
NegativeNegatives: However, a few minor things can be better: streetlights in certain lanes are poor, park maintenance requires improvement, and additional late-night grocery/medical facilities would be beneficial. I hope these small improvements come through soon, so life here improves further.
Positives: It was an enriching experience living in Malad West. The locality provided a harmonious mix of urban convenience and coastal tranquility. I enjoyed the easy connectivity through the Western Express Highway and the Malad West Metro Station. The close proximity to popular shopping malls such as Inorbit Mall and Oberoi Mall were an added advantage, with plenty of retail and food options to explore. Schools and hospitals were easily accessible, promising a convenient lifestyle. But during the monsoon season, there was waterlogging on Link Road, which caused inconvenience. Moreover, the air quality index (AQI) would sometimes drop, making outdoor activities difficult. In spite of these small setbacks, Malad West continues to be a sought-after area.
Positives: We came to live in our apartment in this lovely location due to the region's amazing combination of convenience and lively life, and I completely believe that choice. I love how we're literally next to the Mindspace IT Hub, so my drive to work is extremely short, and the future Metro Line 2A will make traveling even more convenient all over the city. With prominent landmarks such as Inorbit and Infinity malls within walking distance, shopping and entertainment are never far from reach. We also appreciate the convenient drive to Aksa Beach for some weekend tranquility. The only apprehension I have is overcrowding and bad maintenance on the Link Road at some areas; it tends to waterlog quite often during heavy monsoons. It is certainly an issue which requires urgent attention from the municipal authorities.
Positives: I shifted to Malad West a year or two back, and I love the place. The area is nice with Inorbit and Infinity Malls within reach for shopping and entertainment. The connectivity is good with Malad Station on Western Line and easy connectivity to Western Express Highway. The locality is well equipped with schools and hospitals, so it is perfect for families. I also appreciate the greenery surrounding the place and closeness to beaches such as Marve and Aksa.
NegativeNegatives: But life here is not without hardship. Peak-hour traffic congestion is stressful, and I have experienced regular waterlogging around New Link Road in monsoons. Public transport and autos are not always readily accessible, which is frustrating. But for all that, I am safe and content here.
Positives: The ease of residing in Malad West is seriously unbeatable! As a resident, I'm delighted with the great connectivity; the nearest Malad station is nearby, and the Mindspace IT park in proximity is ideal for working professionals. Having gigantic malls like Inorbit and Infinity, plus wonderful hospitals. Also, viewing the sunset at Marve Beach on a Sunday is the ultimate getaway.
NegativeNegatives: It is a nightmare trying to grab an auto or cab on the way home from work because of the high density of people, so the public transport becomes thin during rush hour. And on the heavy monsoon days, the road around the New Link Road always gets flooded severely. Still, for all these tiny civic grievances, this vibrant suburb is a great place to reside.
Positives: It was really an experience worth remembering to stay at Malad West. I always considered it to be the best place due to the excellent physical infrastructure. With the proximity to the Mindspace IT Hub, and having Inorbit and Infinity Mall shopping oases within walking distance. I also enjoyed the ease with which I was able to access the Western Express Highway and the future Metro Line 2A.
NegativeNegatives: Other than the convenience, there were some frustrating parts of the area. The largest drawback was the congestion and slums. As a result, finding an auto or cab at will was not easy, and hence the public transport was not always available at will. The New Link Road section tends to waterlog during the heavy monsoons.
Positives: I shifted to Malad West many years back and continue to love residing here as a male owner. The positives are the intense local life, Inorbit Mall and SV Road stores, convenient Western line train connectivity, in reach of Aksa Beach for walks over the weekend, and quality schools and hospitals. New residential buildings and patches of greenery provide options and consistent property value, and local markets enable convenient daily shopping.
NegativeNegatives: Certain low-lying pockets are susceptible to waterlogging and drainage problems during the monsoon. Pollution by garbage in the creek and mangrove areas is a cause of concern among residents and impacts local water quality. Furthermore, hasty construction has minimised open grounds to play and strained civic services. In spite of these, Malad West feels homely.
This is the best locality to work
I mean, I absolutely love staying here. The Malad West area has always been beautiful. The Marve Beach, the gushing waves, sunsets, long walks, ferry rides to Gorai for the summer- these have been part of our lifestyle for as long as we remember. That’s the beauty of staying here. Yes, there is waterlogging and some roads need improvement, but that’s part of the game. And when you want the connectivity through metro and roads, it’s all there. Many celebrities also stay here, and the community is mostly family-friendly. What’s not to like? One more thing to add- the airport is actually not too far away!
Malad West was a good place to stay, and connectivity-wise, it has always been nicely accessible through the Western Express Highway and also the Link Road. We used to love going to the Marve Beach. It is a very peaceful and nice place at the time of sunset. The views are incredible, and you will never get tired of clicking them. Also, it’s a fun thing to take the ferry ride if you’re going to Gorai or Manori. So, a weekend holiday is undoubtedly a very smooth affair here. Waterlogging is one problem that has always been an issue here, which I understand is mainly because it is so close to the sea.
Positives I stayed in Malad West for a brief period and experienced it to be a vibrant and well-connected place. The area provided good connectivity through Linking Road, SV Road, and the Western Express Highway, which made daily commuting hassle-free. The availability of popular malls such as Inorbit Mall and Infiniti Mall, good schools, and hospitals made life easy. The area also consisted of a combination of residential and commercial areas, which gave a well-balanced life. Negatives: Traffic was congested during peak hours, and the place could become terribly crowded. Also, constant construction in the neighbourhood caused disturbance and pollution in the form of dust. Finally, property prices were higher, making it slightly out of reach for others.
Positives: I moved here for a job and I enjoy the vibe of Malad West. Inorbit and Infiniti, along with other shops and malls, are nearby, and I usually go shopping or dine out. The nearby railway station and a recently opened metro station ensure that traveling is convenient. Marve Beach is just around the corner for quick walks and some fresh air. Hospitals and schools are easily within reach in a short drive, which is comforting as a short-term renter. Negatives: I observe some issues, such as Heavy traffic on Link Road and Western Express Highway during rush hours, overcrowded local trains during rush hours. Additionally, waterlogging and monsoon flooding in low-lying areas, and limited parking space and escalating rents in the vicinity of popular locations are some of the issues.
Positives: The area is highly connected with Malad Railway Station, SV Road, and Western Express Highway, and the forthcoming Metro Line 2A will also facilitate easy commuting. Inorbit Mall, Infinity Mall, good schools such as Pinnacle High and Orchids International, and hospitals such as Zenith and Lifeline within its proximity. Marve and Aksa Beaches provide a soothing touch, and Mindspace IT Hub introduces a professional touch. Negatives: On the other hand, the place becomes extremely crowded and traffic, roads are choked particularly during peak hours, which is exasperating. Waterlogging takes place in the monsoon season too. With all this, I give Malad West 5 stars it's a vibrant and well-balanced place to reside.
Positives: The place is just irreplaceable. It's really a western suburbs center, with instant connectivity through the Western Line and the New Link Road, with all the necessary for my daily office run to Mindspace. I like the upscale, comfortable living with several gigantic shopping malls such as Inorbit around the corner, and the locality has great schools, so it's ideal for a family owner such as myself. Negatives: I believe the very high population density here means getting a swift auto or taxi during office hours is a nightmare around the station. Second, the heavy monsoon rains still lead to huge waterlogging around the New Link Road vicinity, which always makes travel a dirty and unhygienic experience for a couple of days. Nevertheless, I wouldn't exchange this bustling neighbourhood for anything else.
Positives: It’s a unique area of Mumbai, where you can stay near the coastline. Marve Beach is a great hangout, and you can take the ferry service to reach Gorai, Manori, and Versova, in case you’re looking for a fun time. The Link Road and WEH are accessible, while the airport is also quite well-connected to the locality. Metro Line 2A has also transformed the area in terms of its overall connectivity. There are several malls, parks, and markets that you will find, with reputed schools and healthcare centers nearby as well. Negatives: Overcrowding and traffic congestion are perennial problems. Another issue is the waterlogging during the monsoons, which I personally believe is due to the lack of prompt cleaning of drains and sewers.
Positives: I thoroughly enjoyed the connectivity. Malad Railway Station, SV Road, Link Road, and Western Express Highway made going easy. There were a lot of good schools nearby, known hospitals, and malls like Inorbit & Infiniti in vicinity. Also, green cover near creeks and mangroves along with beaches at a distance made weekend getaways pleasant. Life style options were numerous high rises, gated communities, mid-income flats. Negatives: But far from being ideal. Monsoon brought badly waterlogged New Link Road and SV Road stretch. Traffic was always heavy, particularly during peak hours. There was poor last-mile connectivity in certain areas footpaths blocked, autos sporadic or exorbitant. Crowding also made the area sound noisy, bustling and occasionally less than comfortable
Positives: The day I shifted into a compact 1BHK close to Malad station, I felt that I had made the right choice. Malad West is on the Western railway line, so there are frequent trains to Andheri and Churchgate. New Link Road provides direct road connectivity, and I have Inorbit malls, weekend markets, hospitals and schools at hand. Marve Beach and the mangroves provide peaceful weekend strolls. New residential schemes provide contemporary choices, and rentals are affordable. Negatives: There are negative points as well. Congestion on New Link Road is heavy, making the commute stressful; constant infrastructure development creates noise and dust; older areas suffer from poor parking and waterlogging during heavy rain. Nevertheless, the neighborhood is safe, community-oriented and day-to-day amenities are great, so I really love living here.
Positives: Honestly, Malad West is one of the finest places to have a house in Mumbai due to the fact that all of these things are so within reach. We're set right between the Western Line railway station and the New Link Road. The greatest benefits are the huge job centers such as Mindspace IT Park and the retail therapy we experience at Infinity and Inorbit Malls, all extremely close by. And the place does feel rather green and secure at night. Negatives: The only thing that keeps bothering me and lowers my rating is the huge overcrowding. It becomes hard to find public transport like autos and cabs. Also, the New Link Road area gets badly waterlogged every monsoon season. Finally, being a popular destination, the property and rental prices keep on rising every year.
Positives: I simply adore having a home here in Malad West. Truly, it's a 5-star spot for relaxed family living! All the amenities are at the doorstep. And of course, fabulous entertainment venues like Inorbit and Infiniti Malls, which are perfect for weekend outings. With the lovely coastline so close by, we always get that invigorating sea breeze. The connectivity is what really makes it for me. With the new Line 2A metro running fully, crossing the suburbs is easy, and we have great access to the local trains and the major highways. Negatives: If I were to choose one negative point, it would be the usual rush-hour traffic congestion near the main intersections, but really, that's just part of Mumbai life!
Positives: I took a flat in this area primarily for the convenience. There are Inorbit and Infinity malls nearby, and there is Mindspace IT park close by, so work and leisure options are never short. Connectivity is good with Malad station on the Western Line and buses and autos all over the place, and the Western Express Highway and Link Road keep me conveniently connected. The locality is well-equipped with good schools and well-known hospitals nearby, and weekends spent at Aksa or Marve Beach are a bonus. Negatives: All that said, the location has its drawbacks. The traffic is relentless, and finding an auto in peak hours is a nightmare. Monsoon waterlogging renders some parts nearly uninhabitable, particularly on Link Road. Some areas still have slums, and that contrast is jarring.
Positives: I stayed in Malad West for three years and I enjoyed how convenient all the facilities were InOrbit and Infinity malls, Marve and Aksa beaches were driving distances away, and Malad station on the Western line made commuting a breeze to Andheri and beyond. There were lots of schools, hospitals and shops around, and the green pockets and mangroves made the area look more pleasant than most suburbs. Negatives: But it also had genuine issues. I struggled with congestion and narrow roads in congested pockets, and waterlogging on the New Link Road during the monsoon once stranded me for hours. Autos were hard to find during peak hours, and compact room sizes are prevalent, so space seemed cramped. Rents and demand are high here, so I'd rate Malad West 3-stars.
Positives: I have been residing in Malad West for years now. I absolutely enjoy the blend of old complexes and new skyscrapers here. Life is a cakewalk here. The major malls such as Inorbit and Oberoi Mall, good schools and hospitals around the corner, and the Western Express Highway and local station, make the city accessible. Prices are consistent and resale demand remains healthy, so holding here does not worry me. Negatives: One thing I would do differently, that usable public parks and tiny open spaces are scarce in areas of Malad West, so we don't always have a convenient playground or park right next door, which is the sole real negative I see. Otherwise, it's easy, well-provided, and close enough to Aksa Beach for a quick weekend stroll.
Positives: I work with properties over here, and I always inform clients it's a lively suburb with great connectivity. I find Malad station making train travel easy, and the Western Express Highway nearby assists for fast city access. I find lots of malls, schools, hospitals, and local markets, so daily life is extremely convenient. I exhibit clients contemporary apartments, gated compounds, and some independent houses, which work for families as well as young professionals. I also point out parks and open spaces for recreation and fitness. I have high rental demand, which makes it a fine place for investors. Negatives: I noticed that some old pockets experience uneven drainage during monsoon, so I would recommend verifying property conditions thoroughly before making a purchase final.
Positives: I opted for this great locality since I obtain nearly everything near my home. I am close to Inorbit and Infinity malls, and on weekends, I go to Aksa and Marve beaches. I have good schools and hospitals in the neighborhood. Additionally, I travel using the Western line train daily. I easily access work hubs such as Mindspace and various shops. I can reach the airport in 30 minutes. Overall, this locality is good. Negatives: I find some locations congested, and I notice slum clusters, which irk me. I also experience waterlogging during heavy rains, and I wish the sizes of rooms in flats were bigger.
Positives: I have to say, Malad West is very convenient to live in. There's everything I want within reach, like Inorbit and Infinity malls are within driving distance, and there are tons of markets and stores. Connectivity is superb; the railway station and Link Road ensure that I can move around comfortably. Aksa Beach is also just a drive away, which is a good refuge. Negatives: The only actual flaw for me is the waterlogging problem occasionally during monsoons. Apart from that, everything's quite sturdy.
Positives: I absolutely love living in Malad West. It's centrally positioned with excellent connectivity. All basic facilities such as good schools, hospitals, and markets are within the vicinity. It's very safe at night, and I thoroughly enjoy the green surroundings here. Negatives: The main problem is how packed it becomes. It becomes difficult to get an auto or a taxi. Also, the New Link Road gets highly waterlogged during the monsoon, which is a big issue and creates hygiene and health problems.
Positives: I really like to stay in Malad West due to its excellent connectivity to the city and all major highways. There is everything I need within reach, from schools to malls, making life extremely convenient. Negatives: Overcrowding is a genuine issue here. It causes traffic jams and sometimes it's difficult to catch public transport. The region also experiences waterlogging during monsoons.

And with several malls, educational institutions, and hospitals within the vicinity, I have everything I require within reach. Negatives: The largest disadvantage is the excessive crowd. Monsoon waterlogging on Link Road is also a big trouble.
One of the Prominent locality in the city. It is situated on the Western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. The area is a blend of residential, retail and commercial establishments and offers good connectivity. Malad is also well conneted with the near by areas such as Goregaon, Kandivali, and Andheri. Enough greenery around, and nice places to stay.
