Mira Road, Thane Reviews

With excellent connectivity via the train and the Western Express Highway, plus the future Metro Line 9 will greatly simplify travel, the area sparkles. Our neighbourhood is very supportive, with premium institutions and several multi-specialty hospitals guaranteeing every vital need is within minutes. Particularly appealing is the vibrant neighbourhood atmosphere and the well-known Sunday market close to the station, which gives a special community flavour. Though the area is great, I do believe the air pollution must be aggressively tackled, particularly while navigating the heavy traffic brought on by small roads going toward Thane. All things considered, this location is prospering, and I strongly advise moving here.

Clients ought to go Mira Road. With good rail and road connections, it is found in the Mira Bhayandar belt. Metro development is increasing connectivity to Mumbai and surrounding areas. Costs are reasonable and present good value than those in center neighborhoods. New developments coexist with existing schools, hospitals, and retail establishments. Closeness to Thane helps maintain strong rental demand. Apartments offer buyers consistent appreciation and rental yields of three to four percent. Smaller 1BHKs provide better returns. Families and professionals will find this neighborhood convenient. More public parks and well-kept neighbourhood grounds will help one area. Its energy appeals to me, and I support it as a wise investment option.

Positives: As a tenant, Mira Road appeals to me greatly. It offers excellent road and rail access to Mumbai. I especially value the abundance of excellent educational opportunities, from local schools to top universities in close vicinity. The high livability is made possible by amazing parks like Ramdev Park for evening strolls and several specialized hospitals close by. Moreover, budget consumers benefit greatly from the renowned Sunday market close to the station.

Negative

Negatives: The roadways converging toward Thane are really thin, therefore creating real congestion during peak times. Air pollution is unquestionably a problem here, and though the new urban forest project is wonderful, more focused efforts are needed to raise the general quality of the air.

Positive: I picked Mira Road mainly for its affordability when compared to Mumbai proper and its excellent railway accessibility. The location on the Western Line was convenient for commuting, and the proposed Metro Line 9 assured even easier travel. Basic amenities were never a problem, with plenty of schools and multi-speciality hospitals such as Samartha Hospital in the vicinity. The best part was the well-known Sunday market close to the station and the good parks, making the locale wholesome and vibrant.

Negative

Negative: Pollution in the air was also a very noticeable issue within the locality, particularly in certain sections. Moreover, the public transportation system, especially the local trains, became overly crowded at rush hours, which would sometimes feel claustrophobic.

Positives: I shifted to Mira Road years back since it had considerably better flat prices compared to Mumbai suburbs yet also had great railway connectivity to the city. I adore the sheer availability of good schools and high-profile multi-specialty hospitals such as Samartha and Sunrise right here. Pleasant Park, which is excellent recreational space. It is a safe locality, and the new Metro Line 9 coming up promises to further improve commuting.

Negative

Negatives: The air quality here is deteriorating, I feel it impacts the air quality on a daily basis, which irritates me immensely. The congestion-prone roads that lead to Thane cause critical bottlenecks and traffic jams, which makes traveling locally very sluggish at times.

The first thing that caught my attention when I decided to shift here was the family-friendly residential communities. Second were the Highway access and also the railway station. Now, I hear that a metro project is planned for the area, and this makes me very happy. It will not only boost connectivity, but also bump up the property appreciation, which will benefit all of us ultimately. Infra-wise, it’s pretty decent, although some gaps remain to be filled.

Negative

I think we need more community parks in the locality. Children can play, and we can also take morning walks. This is one need that the authorities should look into.

Mira Road is a good location to stay rather affordably in Mumbai. At least the properties here are well within budget. Also, another thing to note is that the housing options are also plenty. I could find the right apartment type for my needs, considering we live in an extended family. The main thing about the place is the quick access to the Western Express Highway. This makes commuting simpler for most of us. Also, the overall amenities are quite decent; I can get almost anything I need within 5-10 minutes most of the time. Traffic jams are a perennial issue, but I can manage.

Positives: I've been a tenant in Mira Road for more than a decade, and I enjoy the convenience, all the hospitals, excellent schools, and markets are here. The uniqueness of the location is its strong connectivity. Western Express Highway accessibility and railway station provide easy access. It's safe and the green parks are my favorite. It's extremely convenient for family life.

Negative

Negatives: Air pollution is a big issue that requires immediate consideration. The highways leading to Thane are so congested, resulting in awful traffic jams during peak hours. Though the trains are convenient, they are totally jam-packed. I seriously hope the municipal corporation would improve the roads and sort out the localized water supply issues promptly.

Mira Road is an ideal solution for first-time homebuyers like me. Plenty of residential societies have developed here over the last few years. Also, the overall profile of the area has improved, with the addition of social infrastructure. I usually take the WEH for work commutes, while we also use the railway station pretty regularly. Buses ply through the area, and I am very hopeful about the upcoming tunnel and metro projects, which will boost connectivity hugely in the area.

Negative

I feel that there can be more parks and green spaces in the locality. This will give us more impetus for relaxing and going on walks/runs.

Positives: I have to admit the area gets under my skin. The nearby railway station and regular buses provide easy access to Mumbai and Thane. Rates here seem reasonable and first time buyers and families value the good deals. Parks and green projects make for lovely evening strolls. New residential complexes make office and shopping convenient around the corner.

Negative

Negatives: I also notice some problems that irk me. The locality is hardly South Mumbai when I have long travelling hours. Inner lanes clog and potholes come up after rains. Some market streets are dirty and ill-lit which can feel unsafe in the evenings. Despite problems I still highly recommend Mira Road for affordable living.

Mira Road offers a good lifestyle, which is a little more affordable than living in the prime Mumbai areas. I prefer it that way, particularly due to the friendly residential feeling, and the fact that it has not been commercialized to that extent. I am a woman who comes back late at night due to work shifts, and I have never felt unsafe here. Also, the social infrastructure is developing fast now, and this is due to more real estate projects being announced in the locality by top branded developers. The railway station is my preferred connectivity lifeline for commutes, although I feel that more last-mile connectivity can be implemented here for a smoother experience.

I love staying in Mira Road, particularly for the relatively affordable price point in comparison to many other Mumbai areas. There are several big-ticket residential projects being developed here by leading real estate developers and housing brands. One of the advantages is that the Western Express Highway is nearby, while the railway station is also accessible, along with bus transport facilities. The community is nice to live in and extremely safe at night. Social amenities need some improvements, but the basics are all available.

Negative

Traffic routes need to be planned better, since there is a lot of congestion every day, particularly in the peak hours.

I begin my day meeting customers in Mira Road and I quite like the local vibe. The locality is conveniently connected to the Western Express Highway and the Mira Road railway station, so commuting is easy. New Metro Line 9 test runs and highway developments offer quicker journeys soon. Housing is more economical compared to central Mumbai and has a good mix for families and investors. Developers are constructing new projects, and commercial demand is increasing. Schools, hospitals and markets are nearby. There are parks and sea faces that provide greenery and open area. Rental has high demand from professionals and students. My suggestion is Mira Road due to value and potential growth. Two areas that need improvement are traffic congestion frequently and uneven drainage and road maintenance.

Mira Road has always been a well-connected locality, as far as I can remember. I have literally grown up in this locality and seen its transformation into a hip and happening place. Plenty of residential complexes have come up lately, and of course, the railway station is nearby, the WEH is accessible, bus services are widely available, and most importantly, the upcoming Metro Line 9 will give a massive boost to the locality. Multiple gyms, ATMs, restaurants, local markets, schools, and clinics are also available here. What I like most about Mira Road is how friendly the people are. The whole community is so well-behaved. I am pretty happy about staying here. The only issue I have is that of increasing traffic congestion.

I recall selecting Mira Road years ago as the property prices provided phenomenal value and space, which remains a massive advantage compared to residing within Mumbai proper. It is an excellent self-contained locality with good schools, loads of green cover, and good connectivity through the Western Express Highway and rail line. The soon-to-be-constructed Metro Line 9, which shall revolutionize the travel to main business hubs. This location is safe and ideal for families. I do truly endorse it, but I feel the maximum effect can be created by the municipal corporation concentrating heavily on accelerating the completion of the remaining internal road and drainage works to stem dust and enhance monsoon commutes.

I was staying in Mira Road for about 3-4 years, when I was still struggling for my big break. Now, I can say that the area is very family-friendly and the people here are welcoming. Connectivity-wise, the Western Express Highway is easily accessible, while the upcoming Metro Line 9 will connect Mira Road to Andheri and Mumbai Airport. It should boost not only the property values, but also the overall profile of the locality. The double-decker bridge is planned here over the highway to clear the congestion, and the railway station is already there for commuters, with the BEST buses also. Bhaktivedanta Hospital and Kanakia are some of the top healthcare and educational institutions nearby. So, I have retained my property here, since I believe there is a handsome appreciation scope in the future. Water supply and waterlogging are two problems that I can point out in this locality. These need to improve.

Positives: I am a tenanat at Mira Road & the largest plus point is the Metro Line 9 construction, it will reduce my travel time to Andheri by half. We have excellent social infrastructure, plenty of greenery parks like Pleasant Park, and reasonable management. The developed Western Line connectivity to Thane and being close to MIDC make it an ideal, value-for-money hub for working professionals.

Negative

Negatives: I wholeheartedly endorse it, but we still require more civic planning. The traffic congestion and poor road condition on Ghodbunder Road. Improvement of monsoon drainage in low-lying areas and bringing more big corporate offices to expand job scope locally. Improving these would make Mira Road a gem of the north.

Positives: Purchasing a flat in Mira Road was a great decision for me. I love the excellent connectivity, with the Mira Road railway station and the widespread bus network making travel easy to nearly everywhere. Quality schools like Kanakia RBK School, quality multi specialty hospitals like Samartha Hospital, and beautiful green areas like Vardhaman Fantasy park all are near.

Negative

Negatives: Yet, the air pollution is still a significant problem in the area. Also, there is definitely a lack of upscale eateries, with no five star establishments currently in operation for special dining. Lastly, I personally find it very inconvenient that we lack a specialized, nearby veterinary clinic, necessitating a longer drive for any pet emergencies.

Positives: Mira Road Thane area plenty of positives there. The connectivity was excellent road and rail connectivity made Mumbai, Thane accessible without too much effort. Schools, hospitals, Thakur Mall, Maxus Mall within walking distance. Parks and gyms kept me active. Local Sunday markets provided cheap stuff. Property prices seemed reasonable in comparison to central suburbs.

Negative

Negatives: Traffic was badly clogged during rush hours, particularly at toll booths and inner narrow roads. Drainage was poor, waterlogging after rain was a frequent occurrence. Air pollution was bad at times. There weren't too many high end restaurants or luxury hotels. Vet clinics were difficult to locate in the vicinity. These aspects really needed a boost in Mira Road.

When I originally moved to Mira Road for work, I didn't know I would like it so much now after years here as a tenant. The area has excellent connectivity via the Western Express Highway, local trains and the upcoming metro line. Schools, hospitals and supermarkets are all within easy reach. The neighborhood is quiet, with decent parks and sea breezes from nearby coastal belts. Property rates remain within affordable standards as compared to suburbs of Mumbai. The daily needs and entertainment areas are in abundance. Roads within the complex can become congested during rush hours, and drainage in pockets should be upgraded. Improved road planning and more efficient traffic management would make it ideal.

Positives: Good connectivity to Navi Mumbai through the Western Express Highway and Mira Road Railway Station. The area has several parks such as Pleasant Park and Ramdev Park, which offer green areas to the residents. Also, the fact that the area has reputed schools such as N.L. Dalmia Institute and quality medical centers such as Bhaktivedanta Hospital increases the attraction of the community.

Negative

Negatives: The lack of a metro line in the area restricts rapid transit possibilities. Moreover, during the monsoon, waterlogging in some areas due to drainage can be a problem. Positives: I believe shifting to Mira Road was the smartest move for my tenancy. I just adore the fact that this spot is so well-connected. It has rail connectivity to Mumbai and excellent roads. And, of course, the popular Sunday market by the station is an enormous add-on to shop at bargain prices. The vibrant lifestyle here is incredibly appealing.

Negative

Negatives: In order to better our living life, I would appreciate a few improvements. First, the excessive air pollution is of great concern and demands immediate attention from the municipality. Second, getting a good vet clinic within walking distance for my pet is almost impossible. Third, the region seriously lacks a centralised fish market.

Community life is active and local shopping is convenient. Parks and regular cultural festivals add to convenience. Properties are less expensive compared to central Mumbai. There are also vibrant neighbourhood markets around.

Negative

Negatives: But I get agitated by regular traffic on the Western Express Highway and constricted lanes in market areas. Parking is a never-ending nightmare. Negative

Negatives: But some aspects annoyed me: narrow streets in age-old pockets cut down on privacy, waterlogging during monsoon hit low-lying areas, uneven civic maintenance left behind potholes and filthy drains, and garbage collection was spotty. Mira Road is one of the most buzzing localities to stay in Thane. I have lived here for quite some time and can tell you that the area is actually filled with families and peace-loving residential societies. All festivals are celebrated here, including Ganesh Chaturthi, and that too with a lot of pomp. Of course, price-wise, it does make sense if you are looking to stay in a well-connected place that’s a little away from Mumbai. Also, the beach in Bhayander is only half an hour away or a little more. It’s a good weekend activity for those who love beachside lifestyles. Multiple infra projects are happening here and once the metro line 9 comes here, it will be a great development for all of us. The only thing is that there is a little congestion and loads of vendors on the footpaths.

Mira Road has been an eye-opener for me, in terms of how a nice lifestyle can be possible near Mumbai, without spending a huge amount of money. I was able to buy a property here, as my starter home, and lived here for several years, before I finally moved out. The entire community was very nice and friendly, with plenty of local markets and shops that offer all the daily essentials. What’s more, I hear that the upcoming Metro Line 9 is on the anvil, and if it materializes, will completely change the face of the area.

Negative

See, some of the issues that I faced while living here were the traffic congestion in the peak hours, and also how the roads are completely taken up by the street-side food vendors. While I love my snacks, I don’t think they should be blocking so much road space.

Positives: I stayed in this area for a brief while, and I enjoyed its developing atmosphere. The local train at Mira Road station and several buses facilitated easy travelling to Mumbai and Thane. Accommodation was affordable compared to core Mumbai, with a lot of new apartment complexes and bustling markets and good local stores for essentials. Schools, clinics and small shopping malls were just around the corner. I also had the pleasure of morning walks along Vasai Creek and the neighbourhood parks. Negatives: The drawbacks were three: heavy traffic and long peak-hour delays; regular waterlogging of low-lying pockets during the monsoon; and civic services occasionally lagging behind fast construction, resulting in irregular roads and waste concerns. Nevertheless, I departed with practical memories of neighbourly assistance, and it was appropriate for a brief practical sojourn.

Positives: I completely like that all the essentials are here close by good schools as Podar Intl, N.L. Dalmia, hospitals, malls & shopping close by. Connectivity is also good, we have Mira Road railway station, plenty of bus routes, and the Western Express Highway nearby, which makes it easy for people to commute. Plus, property prices are lower than in central Mumbai, so you get more bang for your buck. Negatives: In the monsoon, drainage is also an issue, waterlogging occurs on low lying roads, and journeys become messy. Moreover, traffic in peak hours is congested heavily, particularly at toll plazas around Dahisar, and some inner roads towards Thane are narrow which leads to a slowdown.

Positives: I will be honest about my experience here- Mira Road is actually very well-connected and affordable. These are the two things that brought me here. You can still purchase homes at competitive prices in the mid-budget range. Many apartments and gated societies are present in the area with decent amenities. Also, the Western Express Highway connectivity is very good, while the railway station is also there. There are many projects that they are working on here, including the Coastal Road extension to lower travel time and also the upcoming Metro Line 9 to link Mira-Bhayander and Dahisar East. Positives: I am quite satisfied with the location. The highlight is how well-connected it is; traveling to other areas in the city is convenient using the local trains and the highway being just a stone's throw away. There are good schools and hospitals nearby, pleasant parks and a busy Sunday market, and shopping options close by. Negatives: Roads toward Thane are narrow and clog in peak hours, air pollution is a worry, and there are few high-end restaurants or five-star hotels nearby.

Positives: Mira Road is extremely well-connected by rail and road. I also like the availability of good schools and hospitals, and the Sunday market in the locality is ideal for picking up low-cost items. Negatives: The thin roads can become very congested, and air pollution is an issue of concern. During the rainy season, the drainage system becomes weak, which can be unhealthy.

I have been living here in this place in my own house with my family. This place is clean and natural with all facilities available. Good hospitals, public or private schools, colleges, and various kinds of shops are available here. This place is well connected with other parts of the city by road. There is no metro connectivity for this reason people can't avoid the traffic jams.

I have been living here as a tenant in a house. This place has all the facilities to live in for all kinds of people, single or with family. This place is quite well maintained by the BMC. Schools, colleges, parks, bus stops, stations, and clinics are nearby this location. During the rainy season, gutters overflow and create an unhygienic situation.
