the locality is a residential area on the northern outer part of the city Bangalore which is divided into seven blocks from a to g. it is situated near the kempegowda international airport. after 45 new wards were added to bangalore city, sahakara nagar falls under the limits of bruhat bengaluru mahanagara palike (bbmp). the locality comes under both the wards of byatarayanapura and kodigehalli.
