Shahapur, an inviting land in the Sahyadri hills, is a city in the Thane district of Maharashtra.

It is an upcoming residential locality that has caught the unblinking attention of investors, realtors, and residents due to its brilliant location that favours tourism.

Shahpur, as a taluka, consists of many towns and villages. It had a total population of 314,103, according to the 2011 Census of India.

It is the largest taluka of the Thane district and is surrounded by the beautiful Western Ghats.

The city is rising as an exquisite tourism hub due to three main reasons: it sits in the lap of Sahyadri hills; River Bharangi flows through its heart; the Mumbai-Agra National Highway boosts the city with pace.

Shahapur was awarded the insignia of ‘No Chemical Zone’ by Maharashtra Government.

The city is a vital source of water for the Mumbaikars as it supplies a whopping 2505 million litres of water each day through its three dams – Vaitarna, Tansa, and Bhatsa.

The very location of Shahapur makes it a hotspot for investors. The ‘Golden Triangle’ lies in Mumbai, Thane, and Nashik.

If you are coming from Mumbai, the best way is to take a bus or private cab to reach Shahapur through Mumbai-Agra National Highway and NH 160. It takes around 2 hours to travel from Mumbai to Shahapur

Compared to Atgaon, Shahapur has more restaurants, hotels, hospitals, etc. The city also lies near the Bharangi River, providing it with the boon to be a good tourist location.

This place has all the transport facilities with good connectivity with the other parts of the city. In this locality, people can access all the basic amenities nearby. Public transports like bus auto are easily available and cab service is also available here. this place has good security, people can see the frequent police patrolling and for this reason, it is safe to go outside at night. This place is unhygienic and garbage is not cleaned regularly.

This place has all the basic amenities like schools, colleges, banks, shops, and clinics nearby. I had been living here for 4 years in a house as a tenant with my family. This locality is well connected with all modes of transport and also has metro connectivity nearby. The security of this area is good and the local people are friendly. This area has a water shortage problem and local authorities are quite silent in this case.
