Vasai is a city near Mumbai’s western suburbs. It is located in the Palghar district of Maharashtra. It has a rich history and heritage attached to it. Also, Vasai is a part of the “Vasai-Virar” twin cities that is located in the Konkan district of Maharashtra, India. The name, Vasai, is derived from the Sanskrit word Waas. Waas stands for residence. A long time ago, Bahadur Shah of Gujarat captured the area. And the place was renamed as Basai. Subsequent names that were given to the area include Baxay, Bacaim, Bajipur, Bassein, and then finally, Vasai. 

Along with its rich history, Vasai is highly industrialized as well. There are around 12,000 small and medium-scale units in the eastern part of the city. This provides employment opportunities to the residents. The close proximity to Mumbai, great infrastructure, and economic development in the area have attracted a lot of people to invest in the properties here.
